Ignorance will be bliss

I have decided to ignore the crapper that is our economy, and turn the page or hit the back button every time something to do with the election sears my eyes.

I’ve come to the conclusion  there’s not a damn thing I can do about it, so why get all stressed. I, like the rest of the country have to sit back and hope the a$$holes in charge who created this mess in the first place, can perform a miracle and start to pull us out of the toilet.

So back to more important things, youthful appearance - if I can’t be rich, at least I’ll be a poor bitch with beautiful skin.

Not to bore you to much with background info, but every since I was given my first pay check eons ago, I’ve been using the Elizabeth Arden foundation. It’s expensive, now up to $45/pot, but it’s served me well.

In my constant quest to save money, but not yet prepared to go dirt cheap with the smelly maybelline or pharmacy brand products, I decided to try olays new foundation and thus saving myself almost $20

Introducing Olay Definity Color Recapture Anti-Aging UV Moisturizer + Sheer Illuminating Coverage

It is awesome! The texture is extremely lite, and feels much the same as the EA foundation I’ve been using. Goes on smoothly and evenly, doesn’t cake (which is a plus when one has *cough* laugh lines) and so far I’m just giggly over it :)

Now I just have to find the best place to buy it. The crooks that be  CVS want $33, but further investigation on the big ole Internet I see it for as low as $14.99. Even with the $5 s&h  I’d be saving .

Oblivious to the world, over and out.

I’m aggravated

Posted on Wednesday, October 8th, 2008 at 10:46 am

Driving to school in the morning stresses me out (like you haven’t heard that before). Every morning I try and remain calm, every morning I get in my car with the right mindset and repeat “I will not get aggravated at the nitwits on the road” but I fail within 2 blocks of my house.

On another note, did anyone watch the debate last night? SNOOOOOZE - FEST! OMg we’re in trouble. I don’t think either one of them is going to be capable of pulling us out of this mess. We’re all going to hell in a hand basket. I just can’t connect with Obama, and McCain is like death warmed up.

I think I’m going to buy some land in a remote area, surround myself with a 12ft electrical fence, start a vegetable garden and whatever else I need to start, get, buy to be independent of the rest of the world, and wing it from there.

If you asked

If you asked, I’d have to say my fleece sheets. I could not survive the winter without my fleece sheets.

Rockband

Posted on Saturday, October 4th, 2008 at 7:13 pm

I’m doing the endless set list on rockband 2 - 84 songs straight through
I’ve been at it two hours and only completed 25 songs. My shoulders ache and neck hurts, my legs are numb from standing (can’t sit and play), my fingers are locked in a circular position and are throbbing - actually, I don’t really feel them at all very much, which makes typing this very difficult. I keep having to back space since I’m hitting all the wrong keys, my thumb keeps jerking uncontrollably.

Yes I HAVE to do this, because it’ll be one more achievement than my son has - and of course I get the gold guitar symbol next to my name, which is oh so very important in this day and age. People are declaring bankrupcy all around, banks are going under, the country is going to hell in a handbasket, but I will have the ‘endless set list achievement’ all is not lost.

I quit, bordom and pins and needles took over.

The curse of the uniform

The shirt itches, the tie is to tight, the pants aren’t comfortable, and he doesn’t like the colour of the sweater.

Mornings are so much fun - NOT!

virus, trojan, worm

You name it, a friend’s pc has it. Sasser worm to be exact, and God know’s what else. I cleaned this pc 6 months ago. Used the system restore disk to wipe it clean and put it back to factory. Gave the owner strict instruction, you have to keep windows and the avg definitions updated. Scan regularly, pay attention to what you’re doing.

Can’t get into msconfig, can’t get into add remove programs or cmd, it seems everything I need has been disabled. Did try navigating around by booting to dos, but that was a long and tedious hall. Have to use win explorer to access the internet, can’t download avg updates, windows updates, any friggin updates, or anything to clean up this mess.

Don’t have the system restore disc this time either, friend can’t find it, the only thing he gave me was the monitor driver, modem driver, and some other useless driver disc. Looks like this is the first pc I’ll be giving back unfixed since it’ll take way to many hours to clean and get running and I don’t have the time.

Gah, I’ve been beaten.
