Not sure why I put this in the ‘wtf!’ category, because ‘wtf’ implies I’m shocked, and I’m not because it’s become the norm with software companies.
Remember how apple was pushing safari through their quicktime updater and before that the flash updater had the ‘install yahoo toolbar’ already checked in their updater?
Well now Adobe is doing it – and the box is already checked so unless you catch it, guess what gets installed along with the update.
Thankfully the firewall kept popping up and it was annoying my little one, so he called me and I was able to uncheck the ‘norton crap’ before continuing the update.
I would have been ready for the looney bin had norton attached itself to my pc.



I hate it when they do that. When I was a noob, I would not notice things like that when I installed programs. Then, I would end up with unwanted crap on my computer.
