Oops

I was moaning about M yesterday having just grounded him (again).

“when I was a wee lass…” I was saying,  “we had respect, we were God reincarnated”

right after that I threatened to send him to the UK to school.

then I read this:

Britain has the worst behaved teenagers in Europe, according to a leading think tank. They are more likely to take drugs, have sex at an early age, indulge in binge drinking and get involved in fights.

I wonder what the teenagers are like in outter Mongolia…

By jove I think she’s got it

Not boasting or anything, but I finished the terrorist hunt in rainbow six (only in LVU) 4 days of playing (maybe 1/2hr a pop), about 150 tries in all – GAH!
My hands are cramping up so I can’t play any more or I’d already be blasting everyone in border town. :)

Oh yeah, I’m good!

Science = any other subject?

So I can understand why M is all pissed off with summer school.

Quick recap:

He failed science by 5 points although it really doesn’t matter how many points he failed by, since it’s still a fail isn’t it. Don’t know why I insist on mentioning those 5 points other than the fact failing by 5 points makes him less stupid than failing by 10 perhaps?

Reminds me of hubby, “I missed the number by one” he frequently cries – ie, he’ll play 2453 on his lotto and 2454 will come out. Ya still missed it hon!

The only difference ‘by one’ might come in handy is if you missed your turn off ‘by one’ on the NJ turnpike. Missing it ‘by two’ would mean you never escaping the State and finding your way back home.

I digress… His school sent home a list of schools for summer school. Attend and pass the two week course and his diploma will be mailed to him. We chose the high school he’ll be going to in September.

So what’s he studying in these two weeks? Math, religion and social studies. SAY WHAT!? I hear you say, but Lynne, didn’t he fail science (by 5 points :) ) ? Yes science was the dastardly subject he flunked, and no, I can’t answer the question poised on the tip of you tongue:

“So if he failed science, why isn’t that the subject he’s studying?”

Here’s the kicker… another kid in his class failed ALL subjects, but gets to attend the same 2 week course in the same school, and when/if he manages to pass, he too will get his diploma mailed to him.

Isn’t the Catholic school system a wonderful thing?
