My boys

The high temperature has been replaced by a hacking cough. If I didn’t know better, I’d swear he was a pack a day smoker.

Matthew is trying to do the right thing when it comes to school work. However, his failure to read instructions resulted in a zero on his book report. The instructions clearly stated read a “non-fiction book”, he didn’t, he read fiction. Duh!

Road to recovery is noisy

Conor is much better. He’s still getting a temperature every few hours, but nothing to write home about. In between temp spikes he’s a friggin lunatic…in other words, he’s back to his “annoying, tormenting his brother, bothering mom and dad constantly” self.

Oh yes of course I’m really happy he’s on the road to recovery, but darn, those 3 days of complete silence and constant napping were… uh, I can’t say joyous, that would make me look like a really crappy parent wouldn’t it …but I think you know what I mean.

Sickly babe

It’s been a tough 2 days here at Dalton Manor. Conor woke upĀ  early Saturday morning with a fever well over 105 and a heart beat of 167 beats/min. The heartbeat scared the shit outta me so off to the emergency room we went. I’d given him motrin so by the time we got there his temp. had gone down to 103, but his heart rate was still up.

Lungs clear, ears clear, no infections, so not sure what caused it. He’s had this persistent cold for the last month, but nothing that’s kept him of his feet.

All day yesterday he was in and out of sleep, and his temperature up and down. Poor little thing was so sick.

He’s just gone to bed with hubby, hopefully tonight will be uneventful.
