Did you remember – October is Breast Cancer awareness month?

As many of you know, my mom passed away less than 3 weeks ago and the official cause of death was Breast Cancer. She had been in remission for 5 years until it crept back undetected during the past few months spreading to her lungs, liver and bones. She lost her fight a short 6 weeks after being diagnosed.

It wasn’t a pleasant death, and it was painful for us to watch her die. This beautiful, vibrant woman was so independent, never complained and didn’t deserve to leave us so soon, she so wanted to see her grandsons grow up and excell.
