My flight and my mom

I’ve travelled almost exclusively with British Airways since I came to the States, which was 19 years ago, but Saturday…well, all I can say is I’ve had better service in a cheep corner cafe. Service with a smile is no longer available in economy, neither is a glass of Baileys by the way, almost keeled over and had a heart attack when she told me that – have to take my own on the way back…oh wait, the no liquid rule is still in place gah! Anyway, they were a bunch of miserable old farts.

I asked for an extra blanket, and you’d think I’d asked for a glass of champagne, holy crap, the woman gave me the look of death. The flight was filled with tuts, eye rolls and a general lack of job enjoyment.

I never did get the bulk head seats, they were reserved for infants only… there was one on-board – that’s another story, and I can’t be bothered to bitch and moan this evening, I’m still jet lagged and about to go to bed.

Conor was an angel on the flight, a sleeping one :) I put his Winnie the pooh movie on my laptop, so he watched that for the first hour on the plane, then fell asleep and didn’t wake up until an hour before we landed.

Although British airways isn’t what it used to be, I arrived here promptly and safely.

Just when I though the donations had stalled, I received two more yesterday to bring the total to $500. When I get over this God awful jet lag, I’ll start calling around and see if renting the portable concentrator is an option. Again, a huge thanks to those who donated, your generosity is amazing.
More on my mom and reunion tomorrow, I need to sleep.

Goodnight!
