I went to cvs this week to buy some nail gel, the kind that comes with gel, activator and brush cleaner. My nails are a mess and I need something to keep them in tact before my appointment on Thursday. Anyway, bought it came home got everything ready, opened the box and it was empty.
Fast forward to yesterday. Excitedly went to bestbuy to get my new canon. Customers were packed into the store like rats in a cage, and of course there was only one person working the camera department, one was on lunch and the other was wandering aimlessly around the store looking for a customer who’d forgotten a camera battery. There was a really arrogant bloke waiting on line who I argued with, but that’s fodder for another entry.
I digress…. Waiting on line for what seemed ages, it was finally my turn, I almost peed myself with excitement – I’m getting a rebel, I’m getting a rebel -
“I’ll take the canon rebel xt” I announced proudly, like I was the only one in the world to ever get one.
He opened one cupboard, nothing, to the next one, nothing. My heart sank as he approached the 3rd cupboard – if they didn’t have it in stock someone would pay, and since this guy was smaller than I it would likely be him.
He turned holding the camera. Oh my Lord I almost did a jig.
Then my common sense left me, don’t ask how but my brain died for the entire ten minutes it took him to talk me into paying $113 for a starter kit, which included a huge bag, a filter, a battery and charger. The bag was huge. I didn’t notice how huge until I put it on the dining room table when I got home. I could have packed a weeks worth of clothes in it with room for a pair of boots.
I tore it open before I opened the camera box, I needed the battery to charge before I could play. IT WAS EMPTY! No battery, no charger, no filter, it was cvs deja vu.
Yes I was pissed, but I still had the rebel, even if I could only place it on the counter and look at it until I went back to the store.
I opened the box and lo and behold the friggin camera came with a charger and battery. Now I’m sure the guy told me a battery wasn’t included.
Whatever!
So off I went today (3rd time in 3 days I might add) to return the bag, explain the darn thing was empty when I got it home, but no I didn’t want the same thing, I’d get another bag, a stand alone battery (without charger) and I’d buy the filter.
In and out in 10 minutes, twas quick, I’ll give them that.
I get home, it’s the wrong filter and battery, and I need to end here since just thinking about it makes me want to go to bestbuy.com and punch the screen.
all of them that i try and send say they are too big…any suggestions?
How big are you making them. Mine was trial and error,I think the ones that worked were between 60 and 90K I think I deleted after uploading so I can’t go check.
