Happy happy yay yay

So my friend Wendy bought my fuji finepix. This of course paved the way for me to buy the camera I’ve been drooling over for a year but thought $1000 was excessive for a hobby.
Then hubby pointed out I would have no problem dropping $2000 on a pc, which started out as a hobby and led to two jobs - “If you enjoy it, buy it” says he. Bless him!
So off I went to bestbuy because I was simply to excited and wanted it instantly.
So for the next couple of days I’ll be studying yet another manual from beginning to end. One thing I noticed immediately is it’s so much easier to change many of the settings and erasing images (which I’m sure I’ll be doing a lot of) is a cinch. There’s a couple of things I don’t understand but it’ll all come to me in the next few weeks I’m sure.
I don’t seem to be able to zoom in as close with this lens as with the fuji and the rebel doesn’t have a digital zoom. Ah well.
I’m just wondering though, what would be an acceptable period of time to wait before I hit hubby with - I just got to get me one of these? 8-O
