Left and scroll

Don’t have a problem on pc’s with a scroll mouse, but on my notebooks there isn’t a scroller thingy.

So that got me to thinking and we all know that trivial things take up a lot of thinking time. I’d prefer the scroll bar on the left of the screen. It’s not really a problem per se, but more of an inconveniece. Everything I need to browse the web is on the left; back, forward button, home, and any extension I have in firefox if I’ve put it in the toolbar – so why not the scroll bar on the left?

I know it’s possible to do for my own site, but can it be implemented for every site I visit – if not, why not. we have the option to put the task bar anywhere, why not the scroll bar?

Inquiring minds want to know.

EDIT – Oh come on now you can’t tell me none of you have toyed with the idea of having the scroll bar on the left.

Driving tip

It’s more beneficial to the people traveling behind you to know in advance when you are about to make a left hand turn.

Signal then stop, not stop then signal; get a clue.
The screeching of breaks behind you, and the rapid advance of the cars in your rear view mirror, is a clear indication you screwed up a simple motoring maneuver.

Safety stuff

What’s on my todo list today:

Window guards for Conor’s room
Gate for Conor’s door
Toddler bed
Bed guard

On account the little bugger can now climb out of his crib at home. 4 inches higher than the one in my mom’s house, but he sussed it out.

Sigh!

update:
Couldn’t put in the window guards because my battery was dead on the cordless screwdriver

Decided a gate wasn’t necessary

The crib is suppose to convert to a toddler bed.

Sooooooooo
Converted to toddler bed, but bed guard wouldn’t fit on so I have to trek back to the store and return it.

Ended up putting the crib back together, drilling my own holes with the electric drill (damn, could have used that on the window guards couldn’t I – duh!) and lowered the mattress another 2 and a half inches (anymore and it’ll be on the floor).

However I’ve resigned myself to the fact that he really needs to be in a toddler bed, considering Matthew was in one at a year old. Not any old toddler bed mind you – hubby has informed me he wants to get Thomas the Tank . I suppose we could call it a late birthday gift.

My day is important to

I’m really fed up having to rearranged my schedule to accommodate my husband who thinks the things he needs to do are way more important.

Ok, so I can get my hair done another day, it isn’t imperative I go shopping, but when I have to go into work to fix something, I have to go into work. Just because I don’t work full time, doesn’t mean what I do is any less important.

It’d be really nice if just once he’d ask if I had anything planned before setting out on his oh so important day.

I have to go into work tomorrow, summer camp starts next week and the new guy needs help setting things up, and I need to make sure everything is in working order. He’s known for a week I’d be going down there tomorrow, but but I get the disapproving look and a tut. Bah!

“We need to buy a grill, we need to set up the pool, we need to clean the backyard we need to make a list and go buy what we need for the barbeque”

Well fine, but it’s to bad if all this coincides with me going to work for one  day for 3  hours. What the hell is the big deal?

I understand he works nights, and there’s only a small window of opportunity between him getting up, then going back to bed but shit there are things I want to do to.

Need php help please

I’ve noticed it for a while, but since none of my readers ever complained I didn’t bother looking into it.

Then there was valette. :)

When one searches my blog, if it doesn’t find any matches instead of telling the reader politely “sorry dude try again” it spits forth php errors

Observe the results when I search for one term I know I don’t have, oh for god’s sake, everytime I search for something I know I don’t have then put the url into this entry , the damn blog finds the term it’s looking for and I can’t show you the php error.

Just think of something you know I won’t have on my blog and see for yourself . Pfft!

Any ideas, anyone want to screw around in the control panel and fix it, or point me in the right direction or talk me through troubleshooting (me being a complete and utter php clueless moron) ?

Crappy Service

My pool still isn’t open.

While I was away, Tim had some guys come and put up my fence, which looks fabulous I might add. He then asked those same guys to put patio blocks around the pool got a price and a time frame as to when the job would be finished. “Oh be done by the 19th says they.
We had no reason to think they’d screw us up. These are the same guys who decorated our basement after it had been converted to living space, and we can’t fault the fence.

I arrive home on the 20th:

Job not done, apparently it was more work than they anticipated.
